Key handover without queues: a slot, an act, a journal
On key day a hundred buyers want the same afternoon, the same person and a signed paper. Queues, a missing fob and arguments about who received what are the last impression of your project's delivery.
This page is a checklist for a smooth handover day in any country, and a description of the scenario we build in Unitify for developers.
This scenario is assembled for each project from Unitify's booking, checklists, passes and resident app. It is not a ready-made module. We show it on a demo and agree what your handover day needs.
A handover day, step by step
- 1
Confirm the buyer is ready
Payments done, documents signed as your contract requires, the apartment accepted and the defects agreed. Do not book a buyer who is not ready.
- 2
Give each buyer a slot
A fixed slot per buyer, spread over the day, with a reminder the day before. A queue starts when slots are not kept.
- 3
Prepare the pack in advance
Keys by sets, fobs, passes, the parking remote, the folder of documents and the manuals for the apartment's equipment, labelled per apartment.
- 4
Check at the desk
Note the meter readings, hand over the equipment on your list, count the keys and write the number down.
- 5
Sign one handover act
One act says who received what: keys and their count, fobs, passes, documents and meter readings. Both sides sign and the buyer takes a copy.
- 6
Switch on access and the app
Activate the fobs and passes, and have the buyer join the building in the app, so that from the first day they see their apartment, their bills and their requests.
- 7
Close the day with the journal
A journal of the day shows slots, who came, what was handed over and which issues are open. Use it to prepare the next day.
How we build it in Unitify
Slots for the handover desk
Assembled on the booking module. We agree on a demo whether your team books the slots or buyers book them through a link.
The handover act as a checklist
The same checklist and signature mechanism as apartment acceptance, with your list of keys, fobs, documents and readings.
Access and passes
Fobs and digital passes are issued in the same flow where your access system has an integration interface; otherwise they are recorded in the journal by hand.
The resident app from day one
The buyer installs the app, adds the apartment and, once the management company verifies them, gets requests, announcements and payments.
Built for your project
Because this is a scenario and not a boxed module, we start from your handover day: how many buyers per day, which documents you give, what your access system can do. We show the result on a demo building before you commit to anything.
A demo site of your residential complex in 1 hour
Tell us about your complex. We build a demo site of it in 1 hour, and show the handover scenario on that building at a call.
Send us your company website and your country. We build a demo site of your complex on unitify.homes with your logo and colors, your buildings and the pages residents see, and send you the link within 1 hour on working days.
- Free, no card and no obligation
- Your logo, colors and complexes, taken from your website
- If your website blocks automated access, we assemble the demo by hand and tell you how long it takes
Already know what you need? Skip the demo site and book a 30-minute call.
Book a 30-minute callKey handover: questions
Is this a ready-made module?
No. It is a scenario assembled for your project from booking, checklists, passes and the resident app. We show it on a demo and agree what your handover day needs.
Can it work with our access control and fobs?
If your access system has an integration interface (an API, SIP, ISAPI or ONVIF), we connect it for your project. Otherwise fobs are recorded in the journal by hand.
Which documents does the buyer receive?
That depends on your contract and your country. The scenario lists the documents your team hands over; the list is yours.
Does it connect to apartment acceptance?
Yes. Handover starts from an accepted apartment and its agreed defect list, and the handover act can refer to both.
