Security & Data Protection

1. Unitify’s Approach to Security

Security and data protection are a critical part of residential infrastructure. Unitify is designed with this in mind from day one — as a platform that handles operational, financial, and resident-level data across buildings. We treat security not as an add-on, but as a core system requirement.

2. Hosting & Data Storage

Unitify operates on secure cloud infrastructure provided by trusted global providers.

  • Data is hosted in compliant cloud environments (EU / US regions, depending on deployment)
  • Unitify supports region-specific deployments and configurable data storage to meet local regulatory requirements
  • We take into account local data residency laws and adapt deployments accordingly
  • No local data storage on user devices
  • Secure, isolated storage environments for each client
  • Continuous monitoring and infrastructure updates

3. Personal Data & GDPR

We follow established data protection standards, including GDPR-aligned practices and regional data protection requirements.

  • Access to personal data is strictly permission-based
  • Data is not shared with third parties without a valid legal or operational basis
  • We adapt data handling practices to comply with local regulations in each market
  • Users retain the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their data
  • Data processing is limited to what is necessary for platform functionality

4. Backup & Recovery

To ensure continuity and data integrity, Unitify maintains automated backup processes.

  • Regular automated backups of critical data
  • Secure storage of backup copies
  • Ability to restore data in case of failure or data loss

5. Access Management

Access to data and system functionality is controlled and traceable.

  • Role-based access (property managers, residents, technicians, administrators)
  • Fine-grained permissions at the building and unit level
  • Logging of key actions for accountability and audit purposes

6. Disaster Recovery

Unitify maintains internal procedures to handle unexpected incidents.

  • Defined response processes for system disruptions
  • Infrastructure redundancy where applicable
  • Regular internal reviews of recovery readiness

7. Current Status & Ongoing Improvements

Unitify is an evolving platform. We continuously strengthen our security practices as the product and client base grow — including infrastructure, processes, and compliance standards.
