Stripe integration for HOA and condo dues
Unitify connects to Stripe so residents can pay association dues by card, and the money settles straight into your building's own account.
What it does
Residents pay by card through a hosted Stripe Checkout page. Unitify uses Stripe Connect destination charges, so the payment settles directly into the association's own connected Stripe account, with Unitify's fee taken as a separate application fee. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported through the same checkout.
How it works
- 1
Resident opens an invoice
The resident app shows the amount due and a Pay button next to it.
- 2
Stripe Checkout collects the card
Pay redirects to a hosted Stripe Checkout page — card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — so card data never touches Unitify's servers.
- 3
Funds settle to your account
Stripe confirms the charge, Unitify marks the invoice paid, and the money settles into the association's own connected Stripe account.
Frequently asked questions
Which countries can use Stripe with Unitify?
Stripe Connect Express accounts are available in Stripe's own supported-country list; check with your Unitify contact for the countries currently enabled on your account.
Does Unitify hold the money before it reaches our account?
No. Payments use Stripe Connect destination charges, so funds settle directly into the association's own connected Stripe account; Unitify's fee is taken as a separate application fee at the same time.
Can residents pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, through the same Stripe Checkout page used for card payments.
Do we need our own Stripe account?
Yes — Unitify connects to a Stripe Connect Express account created for your association, not a shared Unitify account.
