Halyk Bank (ePay) integration for building payments

Unitify's billing connects directly to Halyk Bank's ePay gateway — also known as ePayment.kz — so Kazakhstan residents pay dues by card in the resident app.

What it does

Payment runs through Halyk Bank's ePay gateway (epayment.kz): OAuth 2.0 with automatic token refresh, multi-currency support with KZT as the primary currency, full and partial refunds, transaction cancellation and status checks through webhooks. Card, Google Pay and Apple Pay are all mapped as payment methods.

How it works

  1. 1

    Resident opens an invoice

The resident app shows the amount due for the building.

  2. 2

Halyk's ePay gateway collects the payment

Card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, through Halyk's own hosted gateway (epayment.kz).

  3. 3

    Webhook confirms and reconciles

A webhook updates the payment status; Unitify marks the invoice paid and reconciles it.

Where this runs

Halyk ePay acquiring is built for one market.

What it doesn't do

This integration is Halyk Bank's ePay gateway specifically. It does not include Kaspi: Kaspi is a payment channel Kazakhstan residents already use on their own, inside the Kaspi app, not something Unitify connects to or processes.

Frequently asked questions

Is ePayment.kz the same as Halyk Bank?

Yes — epayment.kz is Halyk Bank's own ePay gateway. Unitify ships one integration for both names.

Can residents pay through Kaspi instead?

Kaspi is a channel residents already use for ОСИ and КСК dues, but it isn't connected to Unitify — this integration is with Halyk's ePay gateway specifically.

Which payment methods are supported?

Card, Google Pay and Apple Pay, all through Halyk's hosted gateway.

Can an ОСИ accept dues online through Halyk?

Yes — Halyk Bank's ePay gateway is Unitify's acquiring integration for Kazakhstan, so an ОСИ or КСК can collect resident dues online by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay through it.
